March Madness has come down the just four teams now. It has been a crazy year filled with tons of upsets and unlikely victories. It was the just the second time in history where a ten seeded team played and eleven seeded team. The only teams competing for the National Title are Uconn, Florida, Kentucky, and Wisconsin.
Kentucky has had a very tough road to get to the final four. They are seeded eight and played Kansas St. in the first round. After winning that game they went on to upset the number one seed, Wichita State. That is when we knew that this team is a serious contender. They handed Wichita State their first loss of the whole season. In the next round they upset a four seeded team, Louisville, and the round after that they upset the two seeded team Michigan. Kentucky’s road to the final four has been full of unlikely upsets and hard victories.
Wisconsin is seeded at number two and they have been a favorite the whole tournament. They have a very strong team and have advanced to the final four a bit easier than Kentucky. They had a couple blowout wins but also had a very hard one point win against Arizona.
UCONN has also upset many teams starting with Villanova. They are a very strong team and have been playing on top form. They recently upset the tournament favorites, Michigan State. They are playing Florida in the final four and that will be a very interesting game. Can UCONN continue to upset teams or will their season end.
Florida is the only team that is seeded number one in the final four. They have won each of their games my more than 10 points but and although they have been playing very strong teams, they have not gone through other top seeded teams such as the other teams in the the final four. The Gators seem to be playing better than ever and hopefully it will continue through the rest of the tournament.
